Rocket City Causeway, Inc. is a nonprofit dedicated to helping people learn, play, and serve together, building connections and stronger communities in North Alabama. Our programs bring families together to enjoy educational events, fun activities, and valuable service opportunities that enrich lives. Our passionate team is committed to making a positive impact on our community.
Our Story
Rocket City Causeway is a nonprofit organization encompassing programs such as Mrs. Emily's Field Trips and More, and the Homeschool Show and Share. Mrs. Emily initially spearheaded these efforts independently, driven by a commitment to community service. Last year, Jessica Butler partnered with her, and in January 2024, Lori Brenizer joined their efforts.
Over the past decade, Mrs. Emily's events, field trips, service opportunities, classes, and the Homeschool Show and Share have thrived, focusing on learning, play, and service. Recognizing the critical need to connect families and provide essential resources, it became clear that this service is indispensable to our community.
To better fulfill our mission and expand our impact, Rocket City Causeway was established. This nonprofit initiative aims to unite all families, extending beyond the homeschooling community, to build stronger communities together. The Board of Directors, with Emily Burnette as President, Jessica Butler as Secretary, and Lori Brenizer as Treasurer, provides steadfast leadership for the organization.
